About Us
First Baptist Church, an American Baptist Church in the U.S.A., was founded in 1915. Our church has grown throughout the years as we have occupied properties within Filer; first on 5th St, then Yakima Ave and now our current location that we have occupied since 1982.
Our current facility has undergone two major remodels, the most recent addition being completed in 2008. This recent remodel has dramatically increased our square footage as well as positioned ourselves for future church growth and expansion.
God has blessed our church with several pastor's throughout our nearly 100 years of ministry. Pastor Andy Paz began his ministry here on August 1, 2011. Our church has a multi-board operational system. Each Board has a specific function as outlined in our bylaws. These Boards work hand in hand with each other and the Pastor to further the ministry of the First Baptist Church.
We are a "small town church" with a Gospel mission whose church roles count 70+ families (approx. 80-130 individuals attend on any given Sunday). We have several families travelling from the neighboring communities in Buhl, Twin Falls, and surrounding rural areas. The majority of the families live in Filer or just outside our city limits. We welcome all families, races, and backgrounds knowing that God's Word has the power to transform lives regardless of the past

Church Life
Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior said it best, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." -Matthew 28:19,20
